National Coatings & Supplies and Single Source Inc. are looking for new Business Development Managers (BDM) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in sales that are looking to take their career to the next level through business development and sales management.
This position will require individuals to be willing to travel up to 75%. We are looking for a candidate who resides in one of the following areas: Southern California, Phoenix, AZ or Denver, CO. 
Business Development Manager Duties:
  • Responsible for improving company sales and profits through coordinating efforts to gain Commercial Industrial business
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and respond accordingly
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow up with key decision makers
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of annual budgets at the store level for the stores (if any) that are assigned
  • Regularly meet with Supervisor to review weekly sales activities, progress on goals, and status of prospective customers
  • Serve in a sales and consulting capacity; working with other BDM's on National Accounts as requiredMentor store staff and TMS's by establishing and implementing goals and objectives in line with the company goals to increase profit revenue for the region.
  • Responsible for keeping abreast of development plans of existing clients, and have a very good understanding of contract terms and provisions.
  • Complete scheduled and cold call prospecting activities to establish first and follow up appointments with customer decision makers
  • Assist with other duties/departments as needed

Business Development Manager Requirements

  • Associates Degree preferred
  • 4-6 years' experience in sales with a proven record of achieving objectives and overcoming objections
  • Proven sales track record
  • Ability to travel is required
  • Paint and Industrial coating industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong negotiating skills
